Various Features Explained

There are two basic types of panoramas - also referred to as "panos".
Panoramas are a series of photos that are specially stitched together to make a full 360 degree image.

We convert the images into a single interactive virtual image that can be controlled by the viewer or rotate on its own.

Any panorama can be "enhanced" with multiple panos (tours), audios, clickable video popouts, clickable image popouts and maps.

Cylindrical panoramas only "pan" from left to right. Imagine being inside a barrel with no top or bottom to be seen. The only images you see is on the side with no top or bottom views.

Spherical panoramas "pan" from left to right AND ALSO from top to bottom. Imagine being inside a sphere where you see all around. One can feel they are actually there.

OPTIONAL FEATURE
To keep the user oriented correctly on a virtual tour of a campus or group of buildings - a simple map can be included inside the panorama with clickable points on the map.

OPTIONAL FEATURE
Whether you have cylindrical or spherical panos, you can have multiple panos linked to create a TOUR system. These are very useful when you wish to show several rooms or locations. Imagine a museum TOUR system. The virtual user can visit from room to room and look around at their own discretion... even zooming in to look at objects better.

OPTIONAL FEATURE
Voice overs or music can be included with the panorama. For instance, music from a jukebox that is shown in the panorama can be heard. The music can become louder as the panorama begins to draw closer to the sight of the jukebox. Or, you can just have the audio playing in equal volume throughout the panorama.

OPTIONAL FEATURE
An example of a video in a panorama might be of a library that includes a special painting of George Washington. A video "icon" can be positioned next to the painting, enticing the viewer to click on the icon. After clicking, a video "pop-up" would appear showing a video of a brief explanation of the painting. Great for teaching and other purposes!

OPTIONAL FEATURE
Referring to the Video Popups explanation... Take that same painting of George Washington and make it be a PHOTO popup creating a larger image of the painting with some optional textual information attached.

OPTIONAL FEATURE
Once the panorama is ready for your website, we will send you (or your webmaster) the coding and files needed to post onto your site. But if you need a site or need help with inserting the codes, this can be obtained from us also.
